The Scaffolding Part 2 course is for operatives who have completed the Scaffolding Part 1 course and have returned to the workplace for a minimum of 6 months site experience. The course provides an introduction to scaffolding, covering the safe erection and alteration of a range of scaffolding structures. The course is a hands on course, with practical sessions to compliment the classroom theory sessions. On completion of the course operatives will be able to interpret simple scaffold drawings. They will also be able, as a member of a team, to erect, alter and dismantle various scaffolds safely and in the correct sequence. On successfully completing the course operatives will be issued with a CISRS Scaffolding Part 2 Certificate.

Certificate:The NEBOSH Construction Certificate

The NEBOSH Construction Certificate programme is a nationally recognised Health and Safety qualification. This course starts on 19th August and runs on consecutive Thursdays with exams taking place on 9th & 10th December. It is suitable for Site Managers, Planning Supervisors, Health and Safety Advisors in Construction and Employee Representatives and is designed to cover general health and safety issues within a construction context as well as placing emphasis on the specific issues that make the industry one of the most dangerous in which to work.
On successful completion of the course delegates will receive a NEBOSH Construction Certificate.

The Scaffolding Part 1 course is for operatives who have a minimum of 6 months experience within the scaffolding industry. The course provides an introduction to scaffolding, covering the safe erection and alteration of a range of scaffolding structures. The course is a hands on course, with practical sessions to compliment the classroom theory sessions. On completion of the course operatives will have an understanding of the statutory regulations, the knowledge and skill to be able to safely erect, as a member of a team, various scaffold structures. On successfully completing the course operatives will be issued with a CISRS Scaffolding Part 1 Certificate.
C&G have now started to deliver the first 10-day Construction Diploma courses at the Beckton training centre. This diploma course is operated by C&G on behalf of Connexions (at Newham Council) for the five host boroughs of the 2012 Olympic Games.
As part of their commitment to the construction efforts around the 2012 Olympic Games in London, Charcon (part of Aggregate Industries) are now sponsoring and supporting C&G’s training programme for the Construction Diploma.
C&G’s Beckton training centre is now running level 1 diploma courses in Bricklaying, Construction and Civil Engineering.
