This PASMA Towers for Users course is suitable for delegates who are responsible for assembling, dismantling, altering, moving and inspecting of mobile access towers. This is an official PASMA course.
Candidate Eligibility/Entry Requirements
The safe use of mobile access towers requires that delegates understand and consult safety notices and read thoroughly through the manufacturer’s instruction manual. It is important that all delegates who attend this course have a good understanding of spoken and written English.
The assembly and use of an access tower can be physically demanding therefore users ideally should be physically fit and healthy to be capable of altering the access tower.
If the delegate has any impairments such as eyesight, hearing, heart disease, high blood pressure, epilepsy, impaired limb function, literacy or language comprehension or any other impairments that would affect the delegates abilities, they must bring this to the attention of their employer to conduct an assessment to be able to put into place adequate measures.
Aims & Objectives
This course aims to ensure that delegates acquire knowledge and understanding of how to safely assemble, dismantle, relocate and alter a mobile tower without risk of injury to themselves or others. Delegates will learn about their legal responsibilities and appreciate the importance of competent inspection.

This programme contains both theory and practical training. Theory is delivered through a classroom-based tutorial after which the delegate’s understanding is assessed. Successful delegates will attend a practical session with demonstration and instruction from a qualified tutor and undertake a practical assessment.
