SSSTS Training Course: Site Supervisors’ Safety Training Scheme (1 Day Refresher Course)

This one day training course is for delegates who have previously passed the 2 day Site Supervisors’ Safety Training Scheme. This course aims to bring health and safety knowledge up to date, as well as giving a thorough overview of legislation changes and their impact in the workplace.

Who’s the course for?
The SSSTS 1 day Refresher is intended for delegates who have previously passed the full 2 day SSSTS or subsequent 1 day Refresher course and can provide proof of attendance.

Course Aims and Objectives
The course includes a wide range of topics which have been affected by the changes to procedures built upon the material in the original course.  The course aims to help delegates stay up to date with their knowledge, specifically, it

• Raises awareness of current trends within the
  Health & Safety Executive
• Improves awareness of recent developments in
  construction, legislation, health, safety, welfare and environmental issues
• Identifies measures that will assist the
  practical implementation of responsibilities established by new legislation and
  working practices

At the end of the period of training the delegates will be:

• Aware of and able to implement all updated
  health, safety, welfare and environmental legislation which affects them in
  their role as a supervisor
• Aware of and able to implement new guidance and
  industry best practice affected by changes
• More aware of their duties and responsibilities
  with regard to health, safety, welfare and the environment
