Who’s the course for?
Individuals that require training and testing for Slinger/Signaller to enable them to gain a CPCS Card to work on site. The operative must hold a current Health and Safety test which is no more than 2 years old.
Course Aims and Objectives
To provide operating competence.
To provide underpinning knowledge, specific category and environmental related Health and Safety and operators rights and responsibilities.
On successful completion operatives will be issued with a CPCS Red Trained Operator Card in Slinger/Signaller. The card lasts for 2 years in which time the operative will need to achieve a NVQ Level 2 Diploma in Slinger/Signaller, this will enable the operative to upgrade to a full Blue Competence Card.
This is a 3 day course consisting of 2 days training and then CPCS Technical Testing on the 3rd day. The CPCS Technical Test consists of 2 parts a Theory and Practical Test, the Theory Test needs to be passed before the Practical Test can take place.
Day 1 – Classroom theory training session.
Day 2 – Practical training session.
Day 3 – CPCS Technical test:-
This is in 2 parts the Theory Test which must be answered verbally, in a one-to-one session with the CPCS Tester and will be recorded using digital audio recording equipment. There is an estimated guideline of 1 hour for the CPCS Theory Test. For more information follow the link: – Click here
